 ad during the Oscars yesterday. The commercial focused on the built-in 
heart rate monitor, which is placed just below the S5’s camera. The 
device, which sports a 5.1 inch full HD display, is expected to hit the 
market in April.<br />
In another interesting moment at the <a href="http://askneed.blogspot.com/2014/03/samsung-debuted-galaxy-s5-ad-in-oscars.html" target="_blank">Oscars</a>, host Ellen DeGeneres took a selfie with a Galaxy Note 3. With Samsung being the major sponsor of the event, the move was fitting, yet unfortunately the picture came out blurry.<br />
But the moment of the night was when Ellen once again grabbed the Note 3
 to take a selfie with a dozen other celebrities including Bradley 
Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence, Kevin Spacey, and more. Within half an hour, 
her <a href="http://askneed.blogspot.com/2014/03/samsung-debuted-galaxy-s5-ad-in-oscars.html" target="_blank">Oscars</a> selfie shattered the record for most retweets, which was 
previously held by President <a href="http://askneed.blogspot.com/2014/03/samsung-debuted-galaxy-s5-ad-in-oscars.html" target="_blank">Obama's</a> tweet after winning the 2012 presidential election.<br />

Samsung sponsored the award show for the fifth year. The company <a href="http://askneed.blogspot.com/2014/03/samsung-debuted-galaxy-s5-ad-in-oscars.html" target="_blank">created a video wall</a> comprising 86 televisions, smartphones, and tablets, showing the footage of nominated movies. It also bought <a href="http://askneed.blogspot.com/2014/03/samsung-debuted-galaxy-s5-ad-in-oscars.html" target="_blank">five minutes of airtime</a><a href="http://askneed.blogspot.com/2014/03/samsung-debuted-galaxy-s5-ad-in-oscars.html" target="_blank"> </a>for the event's broadcast.<br />
