the next generation system for $499.99 with a free game in an effort to 
better compete with Sony’s more affordable PlayStation 4.<br />

<a href="http://askneed.blogspot.com/2014/03/icrosoft-announces-xbox-one-bundlefor.html" target="_blank">Microsoft </a>will be bundling <a href="http://askneed.blogspot.com/2014/03/icrosoft-announces-xbox-one-bundlefor.html" target="_blank">Titanfall</a>
 with the $499.99 Xbox One. The special edition bundle includes a 
digital copy of the game and a one month Xbox Live Gold <a href="http://askneed.blogspot.com/2014/03/icrosoft-announces-xbox-one-bundlefor.html" target="_blank">membership </a>in 
addition to the standard issue console, <a href="http://askneed.blogspot.com/2014/03/icrosoft-announces-xbox-one-bundlefor.html" target="_blank">Kinect,</a> wireless controller and 
chat headset. It's still more expensive than the PS4 but you're 
basically getting a free game now.<br />

Harvey Eagle, <a href="http://askneed.blogspot.com/2014/03/icrosoft-announces-xbox-one-bundlefor.html" target="_blank">Xbox's </a>marketing director in the UK, said the reason they
 were doing this is because they are committed to giving gamers the best
 value possible. He added that we are only a few months into a 
generation of consoles that are going to last for many years to come and
 now just feels like the right time to make the adjustment on the price.<br />

and has outsold the Xbox 360 by a wide margin during the same time

far behind in sales compared to the PS4. According to at least one

 Q4 2013 numbers saw the two dominate platforms increase even further to
 account for 95.7% off all <a href="http://askneed.blogspot.com/2014/03/android-and-ios-made-up-for-957-of.html" target="_blank">smartphones</a> shipped, 4 percentage points 
higher than the same time the previous year.<br />
As we previously saw when <a href="http://askneed.blogspot.com/2014/03/android-and-ios-made-up-for-957-of.html" target="_blank">IDC </a>reported that smartphone shipments hit the 1 billion mark, Samsung dominated shipments followed by <a href="http://askneed.blogspot.com/2014/03/android-and-ios-made-up-for-957-of.html" target="_blank">Motorola</a> and <a href="http://askneed.blogspot.com/2014/03/android-and-ios-made-up-for-957-of.html" target="_blank">Huawei</a> once again pushing Android shipment growth well ahead of iOS.<br />

 downward spiral dipping -40.9 percentage points over the year.<br />

have a few years left. While marketing campaigns continue to be focused 
on flagship devices, the group's<a href="http://askneed.blogspot.com/2014/03/android-and-ios-made-up-for-957-of.html" target="_blank"> research</a> shows that consumer interest 
is rapidly shifting towards lower cost devices.

year subscription to personal wellness assistant Lark, a six month 
subscription to The Wall Street Journal, a three month Premium LinkedIn 
account, three months of Evernote Premium and three <a href="http://askneed.blogspot.com/2014/03/samsung-galaxy-s5-to-arrive-with-500.html" target="_blank">month</a>s of 1TB 
storage from Bitcasa, among others.<br />

Collectively, the <a href="http://askneed.blogspot.com/2014/03/samsung-galaxy-s5-to-arrive-with-500.html" target="_blank">LinkedIn</a> offer and The Wall Street Journal 
subscription are worth $235 alone. In total, Samsung listed 15 apps and 
services as part of the bundle. The <a href="http://askneed.blogspot.com/2014/03/samsung-galaxy-s5-to-arrive-with-500.html" target="_blank">offer</a> appears to be limited to users
 in the US as of writing.<br />

 the <a href="http://askneed.blogspot.com/2014/03/samsung-galaxy-s5-to-arrive-with-500.html" target="_blank">Galaxy</a> S5 during a press conference at Mobile World Congress late 
last month. The handset features a 5.1-inch FHS Super AMOLED display 
operating at 1,920 x 1,080, a quad-core processor clocked at 2.5GHz, 2GB
 of system memory and a 16-megapixel rear camera.<br />

 to give all<a href="http://askneed.blogspot.com/2014/03/valve-launches-steam-family-sharing.html" target="_blank"> Steam</a> users access to <a href="http://askneed.blogspot.com/2014/03/valve-launches-steam-family-sharing.html" target="_blank">Family Sharing</a>. The program gives a 
user the chance to share their entire game library with up to five 
others, with some restrictions in place to ensure the system isn't 
abused.<br />
<br />

At the start of the beta program each Steam user could share their 
library with up to ten other accounts, although that has been changed 
for the final launch to ten <em>devices</em>. In the <a href="http://askneed.blogspot.com/2014/03/valve-launches-steam-family-sharing.html" target="_blank">Steam</a> application 
settings you'll be able to authorize certain machines for <a href="http://askneed.blogspot.com/2014/03/valve-launches-steam-family-sharing.html" target="_blank">Family 
Sharing</a>, and then up to five Steam accounts can access your library 
across those ten machines.<br />

Only one <a href="http://askneed.blogspot.com/2014/03/valve-launches-steam-family-sharing.html" target="_blank">account</a> can access a shared library at any one time, so even 
if two users want to play different <a href="http://askneed.blogspot.com/2014/03/valve-launches-steam-family-sharing.html" target="_blank">games</a>, only the person who first 
accesses the library can play. The owner of the<a href="http://askneed.blogspot.com/2014/03/valve-launches-steam-family-sharing.html" target="_blank"> library</a> always has 
priority access to their collection though, and if they want to use it, 
anyone else that's accessing it will be prompted to exit the game or buy
 it themselves.<br />

Aside from these restrictions, <a href="http://askneed.blogspot.com/2014/03/valve-launches-steam-family-sharing.html" target="_blank">Steam</a> users accessing a shared game will
 be able to upload their own saves to the <a href="http://askneed.blogspot.com/2014/03/valve-launches-steam-family-sharing.html" target="_blank">cloud</a>, and unlock their own 
achievements. Even DLC will be available through the program, so long as
 the user accessing it also doesn't own the main game.

Restaurant menus in search results of Google

Simply search for the menu of the restaurant you’re looking for and 
cross your fingers that it has already been added. It was a bit hit or 
miss for me at this point but that’s likely to improve as more menus are
 added to the system.<br />
<br />
<br />

When you do stumble on a hit, you’ll find the menu broken down into 
different categories (appetizers, soups & salads, pasta, etc.). All 
of the listings I came across featured a description of each item as 
you’d find in the regular menu while a select few even listed the price –
 very convenient.<br />

<br />
The menu cards show up at the top of the page above the search results 
and are extremely handy, especially on mobile devices. The service is 
only available in the US as of writing but again, I suspect this will 
change over time and more regions will be added.<br />
<br />

Urbanspoon and Yelp have been the two main players in the online 
restaurant information and ratings business for the past several years. 
It’s far too early to know if Google’s new service will have a huge 
impact on either of those two outfits but I wouldn’t be surprised if it

With Samsung being the major sponsor of the event, the move was fitting, yet unfortunately the picture came out blurry.<br />
But the moment of the night was when Ellen once again grabbed the Note 3
 to take a selfie with a dozen other celebrities including Bradley 
Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence, Kevin Spacey, and more. Within half an hour,

Microsoft promises to fix Skype chat syncing

It’s been nearly three months in the making but Microsoft is finally 
delivering on a promise to fix an annoying issue that has plagued Skype 
users for several months.<br />

Frequent <a href="http://askneed.blogspot.com/2014/02/skype-61432104-full-version-offline.html" target="_blank">Skypers </a>are no doubt familiar with the product’s synching 
issues. Using the service to chat with friends and family on your 
desktop doesn’t present much of an issue but when you move to a 
smartphone or tablet, messages often fail to sync properly. As a result,
 it’s not uncommon to be bombarded with outdated message notifications.<br />

Microsoft transitioned from peer-to-peer networks to cloud-powered 
servers to power the service but unfortunately, Skype’s infrastructure 
wasn’t<a href="http://askneed.blogspot.com/2014/02/skype-61432104-full-version-offline.html" target="_blank"> </a><a href="http://askneed.blogspot.com/2014/02/skype-61432104-full-version-offline.html" target="_blank">adapted</a> quickly enough to handle the influx of mobile users with 
multiple devices which is what caused the issues to begin with.<br />

But now, the sync issues have all been rectified in the latest versions
 of the app for Android, iOS, Windows and Windows Phone. Additionally, 
Microsoft has improved the push notification experience within Skype and
 also baked in some performance enhancements.<br />

 to return to the app as it runs in the background and battery life is

Visa testing with biometrics for payment verification

Jon White, Visa’s Head of Marketing, recently <a href="http://askneed.blogspot.com/2014/03/visa-testing-with-biometrics-for.html" target="_blank">pointed out</a>
 that smartphones equipped with fingerprint scanners are definitely 
useful. He said Visa is working with these technologies and they are all
 very interesting.<br />
<br />

But how exactly would Visa implement such a solution? That’s unclear at
 this time but odds are, it’d need to be linked to a mobile device.<br />
<br />

White added that it’s a different consideration between drawing a 
squiggle to unlock a phone or putting in a four-digit password to access
 a mobile device versus what’s required to access a bank account. Secure
 management of payment credentials is top priority, he said.<br />
<br />

Something else that needs to be considered, White noted, is consumer 
attitude. Do users really want a single password (in this case, a 
fingerprint) to access all of their secure services? Sure, the idea of a
 single password sounds convenient but will consumers ever get over the 
idea of that being a secure solution?<br />
<br />

The executive expects partnerships to form in this space and although 
Visa will continue to explore it, they will need multiple layers of 
encryption to preserve customer trust and integrity, he concluded.
